Curriculum Vitae

Dr. Bruna Seixas-Lima is currently a postdoctoral research fellow at the Rotman Research Institute in Toronto, Canada. She received her PhD from the Rehabilitation Sciences Institute at the University of Toronto in Canada in 2020. She received her MA and BA from the University of Sao Paulo in Brazil, in 2008 and 2010, respectively.

In her early career, Bruna investigated language deficits in persons with post-stroke aphasia and traumatic brain injury. Since moving to Canada in 2011, her research has focused on investigating cognitive changes caused by neurological damage and neurodegeneration. Currently, Bruna is working on identifying clinical and cognitive characteristics of persons with mild cognitive impairment and dementia.

When she is AFK, Bruna is the mother of one little boy and three naughty dogs. She also bikes, bakes, knits, paints and sews.
